ABOUT JOELLE STEELE
AND THE WEB TECH TRAIN
Joelle Steele boarded the Web tech train when she first laid hands on a computer keyboard at a temp job in California's Silicon Valley. It was love at first byte! In 1983, she started her own business with the help of her first computer — a "portable" KayPro II with a 9" monochrome screen.
Within five years, Joelle was working on her fourth and fifth computers — a PC and a Mac — had learned to program in MBasic, DOS, and dBase, and was exploring the Internet. She eventually began helping others with their computer-related problems, and by 1994 had learned HTML and started her first Web site.
In 2005, Joelle expanded her online businesses to include as many as 10 Web sites. Today, she teaches Web site classes based on her book, "The Small Business Webmaster," and invites small business owners throughout the Pacific Northwest to ride the Web Tech Train and become Webmasters of their own successful Web sites.
